Blue Ridge Insurance Service Inc. started on June 1st, 1995 with the purchase of Fletcher Insurance and Financial Services in Boone, NC by Charlie Fox. After 25 years of growing the agency, Charlie decided it was time to retire. On September 1st, 2020 BRIS was sold to Chris Peacock, who had been working in the agency and also grew up in the High Country. Blue Ridge Insurance Service represents a variety of great companies that meet all of our clients’ insurance needs for auto, home and rental properties.
We also offer commercial insurance for local business owners that include commercial package policies, general liability, workers’ comp, and commercial auto. Health insurance is offered through BCBS of NC for individual, family or group plans for businesses.
